We are looking for the consultant to be based on site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on a 12 month FIXED term contract.
Key Responsibilities;
· The Long Distance DWDM network to accommodate the traffic growth as per the marketing forecast and business plan
· The Junction network, a mixture of PtP Ethernet and SDH
· DMW backhaul of mobile base stations
· DMW long haul network
· Produce all related detailed design and Method of Procedure documents for above mentioned networks.
· Prepare the design plans for migration of legacy (TDM) transport to NGN network solutions, e.g. IP backhaul for mobile, NG-SDH, etc
· Set future transport network strategies, transport architecture development and network roadmaps in order to meet capacity demands and business targets for OPEX and CAPEX.
· Leverage a strong knowledge of technology trends for the selection of the most cost effective and best practice transport network solutions.
· Develop transport network BoQs and request for quotations, participate in price and scope negotiations with vendors to finalize the annual project plans and budgets.
· Create and apply necessary processes and procedures to maintain and improve the work efficiency/performance.
· •Support implementation activities of transport related projects
Expertise and Skills
· Solid, deep technical understanding of all design and engineering aspects for transport nodes and networks including IP/MPLS core and access, D- and CWDM, SDH, NG-SDH, DMW
· Experience with Cisco, Huawei, Alcatel-Lucent equipment ranges
· Solid knowledge in TISPAN/ETSI/ITU standards and application thereof on architecture and design of transport networks
· Familiar with IPv4 to IPv6 migration
