We’re looking for people with experience of some or all of the following;
Key Role Responsibilities:
• The role is to work as part of a group of detailed planners, responsible for;
o Translating, under the direction of the Mobile access planning manager(s), the O2UK 2G and 3G rollout plans into detailed plans for deployment into the network.
• Planning will be carried out primarily using O2’s MaGNet planning system
• Plans will contain network element resource allocation, databuild parameters and connectivity details.
• Planning will primarily be for;
o New RNC’s
o New BSC’s
o RNC and BSC expansion
o RNC / BSC re-parenting to alternative core elements.
o Associated routers, in-line echo cancellors, transcoders, traffic and signalling routes
o Detailed connectivity plans to link RNC’s and BSC’s to associated network equipment
o 2G signalling uplift plans
o Gb interface plans
o PCU / BCSU rebalancing plans
o Routing / Location area code splits
o The provisioning of corporate customers
• To produce regular capacity reports for the above network elements, highlighting any potential capacity shortfalls.
