The Responsibilities:
Radio planning daily activities:
- Validating the site configuration in the field during the technical site survey visit and preparing the Technical Site Survey report.
- Perform site candidate evaluation and selection.
- Verify RF related site engineering drawings.
- Generate RF engineering related reports in Excel, Access, and SQL as required.
- Validating sites sharing request from other operators.
- Using Planning (Asset) tool to input and extract data, in order to generate predictions.
- Draft RF design solutions to address RAN network issues to be reviewed by Radio Planning Supervisor/Manager.
- Assist in nominal design, system dimensioning, and link budget and traffic analysis.
- Running calculations to interpret resource requirement for capacity congestion relief.
- Setting the specific RF parameters for the site to be integrated: RNCid, WBTSid, LcrId, MCC, MNC, LAC, RAC, SAC, CId, UARFCN frequency, scrambling code, T cell, neighbors.
- Escalate any issues that may delay the roll out of equipment’s in assigned region for the attention of the Radio Planning Manager.
- Assist in identifying specialist tools, equipment and solutions for radio network coverage enhancements.
- Assist in ensuring that the RF component of network coverage matches Zain KSA network coverage requirements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Radio Planning Manager.
Support to other team
- Support presales activities, including pre-studies.
- Analyze the customers’ existing systems, needs, and requirements.
- Give technical support to Sales, Marketing, Project managers and the customer.
- Participate in customer projects, handling scope, risks, changes and customer expectations.
- Prepare and submit periodic coverage map and reports.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experiences in Radio Planning.
- Excellent knowledge of mobile and wireless communications standards
- Excellent knowledge of RF planning tools( Asset, Mapinfo and Google Earth) and procedures.
