Skills/Experience | Required Skills 7+ years of experience in each of the following:
- Communications site construction.
- Microwave radio systems.
- Radio path engineering (including site selections, profiles of potential paths and preliminary transmission calculations).
- Feasibility
studies (including map analyses, path profiling, field surveys,
equipment choices, system configurations, budget costs).
- System design (including construction and layout drawings).
- Field experience working with technicians and other site personnel.
- IP network and MPLS radio technology (must be technically proficient and knowledgeable in both).
- Vendor and contract management
Advanced experience in each of the following:
- Tower structures and strong familiarity with TIA standards and procedures.
- Wireless communications site management.
- Radio license and tower application filings with the FAA, FCC, and designated frequency coordination activities.
- Interpersonal and communications skills.
- Negotiation skills.
- Supervisory skills.
- Project management, including all phases and elements of planning and execution.
Preferred Skills/Certification
- MS Excel/spreadsheets (Advanced)
- FCC General Radiotelephone, Microwave Equipment Technology Certification, N.A.B.E.R. or equivalent experience
Other: Travel required 25% - 50% of the time. |

upgrades, additions, and changes.

position provides the opportunity for the right individual to be
involved in sustaining 6,968 radio route miles and 465 sites across the
Eastern United States.
- The individual must be safety-oriented with experience using safety-based work practices.
